FOOTNOTES FOR A NON MANIFESTO
1. We propose an autonomous entity of producers of a new culture, a parallel school independent of all institutions which currently exist, as we dispute their capacity to organize anything other than the preservation of that which already is.
Parallel School is not an axiom; it is a state of mind independent of all schools and theories, one that addresses individuality itself without doing harm to it - the emergence from the prehistory of student life.
2. Parallel School does not belong to any space but can exist in any place.
3. Parallel School is learning
4. Parallel School is not teaching.
5. Parallel School is not restrictive as you do not need to be connected to any institution to be in Parallel School. Everyone will be a parallel student so to speak, with a multidimensional inflation of tendencies, experiences, and radically different beings.
6. Parallel School has no problem to solve, no fixed goals, no preconceived notion of what it is or supposed to be. It expects the unexpected.
7. Against preserved knowledge, Parallel School is the culture of total participation. It exists when things are provoked by the human presence.
8. Today students have been completely separated from society, just as they are separated from each other by competition. This enclosed era must be superseded by perpetual communication. Naturally this would lead to collective production which would be without doubt no longer stocked as commodities.
9. We're moving toward experimental activity, away from academic structure. Parallel students won't be students anymore, but amateurs, which in romance languages relates to love and curiosity.
10. No one graduates from Parallel School.
